About Us

The Barnet Group is a local authority trading company (LATC) that was created in February 2012. It is wholly owned by the London Borough of Barnet. Across the Group we employ around 1,000 staff, providing a range of services to people who live in council-owned homes, people who are homeless or facing homelessness, care and support clients from Barnet and other local authorities, and private customers. We are a not-for-profit organisation, which means that any income we generate is reinvested into building and maintaining homes, improving our public services, and supporting communities.

Your Role

Your Choice Barnet is seeking to hire Care Workers to add to the growing team. Your Choice Barnet (YCB) is a part of the Barnet Group. YCB provides services for people who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory needs and Autism as well as a range of services for older people, some of whom have dementia. All the Your Choice Barnet, Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated services across Barnet are rated overall as either ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a can-do attitude and a passion for caring who would like an opportunity to make a difference and develop their social care career within a leading and innovative team.

About You

A can-do attitude Passion for caring Ability to use your own initiative Willingness to time to get to know the clients and adapt their care and support according to their likes, needs and preferences. The right candidate does not need to have experience in the field of care and support as we will provide full on the job training, it is important that you have the flexibility to work during various shifts, which may include weekends and evenings.
