Support Worker - Rosa Morison

Your Choice Barnet - part of The Barnet Group offers specialist care and support to adults with a range of physical and learning disabilities. We enable people to live their lives as they wish, giving them the support they need to become as independent as possible. The Barnet Group is currently seeking to recruit Support Workers with knowledge of people with profound and multiple disabilities. The role will report into the management team and will work closely with colleagues. 

About Us

Rosa Morison is a specialist service for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and other complex needs (PMLD).  We are committed to the principles of Valuing People Now, promoting independence, involvement, inclusion and opportunities in a person-centred way. We work very closely with colleagues from the Multi-Disciplinary Team within Barnet including Physio, Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists which enables us to support people with their general health and wellbeing.

Your Role

To be an active member of the staff team at Rosa Morison in supporting people with PMLD within the framework of the seven social care outcomes: • improved health and emotional wellbeing, • improved quality of life, • making a positive contribution, • exercising choice and control, • maintaining personal dignity, • economic wellbeing and freedom, • freedom from discrimination. Part of the role will include supporting individuals in the Hydrotherapy Pool with guidance and support from our trained Hydrotherapy Coord

About You

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Male Support Worker, who needs to be innovative, energetic and able to work alongside other team members to assist in the development of the service. It is essential that the individual has experience and able to take on keyworking roles and responsibilities in addition to contributing to the smooth running of the service. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with people with PMLD however this is not essential however the individual must have excellent communication and IT skills. Due to service user’s physical needs, you will need to be physically fit to carry out this role.

You will receive a flexible pension and benefit allowance of 5% of your base salary. Flex benefits are hosted by AON and will allow you to choose from a variety of benefits.
