Home Care Assistant

We are looking to recruit experienced Home Care Assistants across the London Boroughs. We are targetting the Barnet area particularly but will accept applications from other areas. Enterprise Care Support is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the provision of Domiciliary Care for older and vulnerable adults and abides by the regulations of The Care Standards Act 2002. The aim of our service is to provide professional care and support that is flexible, responsive and proactive for those in vulnerable situations and conditions. Enterprise Care Support employs local people to meet the needs of local residents both publicly and privately funded. Enterprise Care Support prides ourselves with assisting families and friends with the support required when taking care of their loved ones. 24 hour care is available to our clients, allowing relief to those who are in need or alternatively working alongside them to improve the lifestyle of both client and relative. We agree a person centred plan with clients and their families to ensure that indepedence is maintained and the best outcomes are achieved to enhance clients' quality of life.

Your Role

To provide personal care and support to people in their own homes for whom the agency has agreed to provide a service in line with an agreed care and support plan. To care for individuals in non-discriminatory ways, respecting each user’s dignity, individuality, cultural and social background and independence. To work with other staff employed by the agency and where involved with staff from other services in order to provide an integrated approach to clients’ health and care. To work in partnership with users’ family members and friends who are involved in their care and support. To contribute positively and pro-actively to the client's health and wellbeing outcomes.

About You

The job holder must be: · self motivated · organised · flexible · caring · sensitive to the needs of others and to the needs of vulnerable people · an active team player but also able to work on own initiative · a good communicator · able to follow care planning requirements and instructions. Person specification — desirable critera The job holder must: · be flexible in terms of availability, working hours, adaptability · have previous experience of care work · have their own transport · have knowledge of local neighbourhoods.
