Support available to adult social care providers across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

International recruitment: support with sponsorship costs

North London Councils are offering temporary financial support to assist care providers in the North Central London region to recruit displaced workers through the sub-regional hub.

This one-off payment can help cover eligible costs for:

Small or charitable organisations

A maximum of two years.

Medium to large organisations

A maximum of one year.

Eligible costs

  • Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) fees
  • Immigration Skills Charge (ISC) fees

This support is designed to ease the financial burden of international recruitment, support displaced workers whose employers have had their sponsor licences revoked, and help address workforce shortages in the care sector.

Please note: this is a time-limited offer and funding is subject to availability. Eligible care providers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Jobs board

We have a thriving jobs board that advertises a wide variety of roles in social care. The board receives regular applications, giving providers good opportunities to attract talented workers.

It is easy to upload jobs to the website, and the Proud to Care team can support you with this. You can also discuss setting up an API so roles from your own website can be added seamlessly each time you publish them.

Leadership in adult social care

We have previously commissioned leadership programmes with our partners at My Home Life. More than 40 leaders have been trained.

A cohort of advanced care leaders has created the NCL Care Leaders Forum. The forum helps leaders connect, share practice and stay up to date with workforce and commissioning information.

Data Security and Protection Toolkit support (DSPT)

North London Councils support CQC-registered care providers to secure and protect care user and resident data through the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).

The DSPT helps adult social care providers check and improve how they keep people's information safe. It is the official self-assessment tool for the care sector and is recognised by CQC, local authorities and the NHS.

Completing the toolkit helps organisations show that they are meeting data security standards and is essential for providers that use NHSmail or deliver NHS-funded services. It can also provide useful evidence of good data security practice.

Supporting connection to shared care records

The North London Councils Digital Team is connecting eligible care providers to shared care records, giving authorised staff access to healthcare information about care users and residents.

These shared care record platforms are free to access and can reduce the need to chase GPs, hospitals and other healthcare organisations for important health information and updates.
