The role will be key in supporting the development of our care services moving forwards, as we formalise our referral, assessment and placement pathways by making them more effective and personalised.
About Us
Employer is a London based provider of registered care and supported accommodation for people with mental health needs.
Currently, they can support up to 85 people, and have projects in Islington, Haringey, Brent and Lambeth with some exciting plans for developing all our services.
The current group service users are mainly (but not exclusively) male, of working age, and have often spent considerable time within institutional settings.
Many of our current service users have severe and enduring mental health challenges, sometimes with backgrounds of social instability and patterns of offending, illegal/illicit substance and/or alcohol use.
Your Role
Essential criteria
Good knowledge, Word and PowerPoint, Excel
Aptitude for maintaining positive relationships
Ability to communicate with colleagues, residents and other professionals in an open manner
Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English
Insight into helping residents with complex mental health needs
About You
The main purpose of the role is to work shifts and support the delivery of a high quality, therapeutic service which is delivered on a 24 hour basis
Work within the unit establishment to provide a consistent approach to residents needs
You will promote that safety and security are deployed to support residents day to day ensure incidents are always reported
Your role will work as a Recovery Worker to residents supporting them in developing everyday skills support a proactive regime involving service users in a range of activities complete any reasonable requests, including supporting colleagues in different units if required

The working week is 36 hours, including a 20-minute break each day. This role may be considered for job share and/or part time hours.
