Paying a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)

If you pay a PCN within 14 days of it being issued, you’ll get a 50% discount.

You can also pay a PCN by: 

  • calling 0207 974 6104 which is available 24 hours a day 
  • by post, sending a cheque to us at, London Borough of Camden Parking Operations, PO Box 755, Redhill, RH1 9GQ 
Warning We do not request payment for PCNs via SMS or text message. Do not respond if you receive an SMS message requesting payment, as it may be a scam.

PCN charges 

For higher level parking penalties, such as parking on a yellow line or causing an obstruction, the charge is £160. This is reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the PCN. 

For lower level parking penalties, such as overstaying in a paid-for parking bay, the charge is £110, reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the PCN. 

For bus lane and moving traffic penalties, the charge is £160, reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the PCN. 

What happens if you do not pay a PCN 

If you do not pay or challenge a PCN within 28 days from when you received it, the 50% reduced charge no longer applies. The PCN will continue to follow the statutory process.
